Dear Artists, welcome to your Infopage!

To organize your workshops, shows and DJ-Sets in the best way, please read the informations.

Arrival Friday 13th of September

  • If you will be arriving by car or by train, please head to your hotel an check in independently. We will meet at the „Gasthaus Schützen“ (Schützenallee 12, 79102 Freiburg, Germany) at 7:30pm to have dinner all together.
  • If you arrive by plane, please check out further information below to find the map where we will meet you at the airport.

All necessary information:

We are not going to pay your salary in cash. Please send your invoice via e-mail. We are going to transfer your salary after receiving your invoice but earliest one week after the event.

The invoice should contain the following information (OR you can just fill out our prepared form below):

  • addressed to: Gutmann Events GmbH & Co.KG, Leo-Wohleb-Strasse 1, 79098 Freiburg, Germany
  • your address
  • a valid VAT/GST/HST (or your country equivalent) ID
  • the note of the reverse charge mechanism
  • invoice number
  • invoice date
  • date of accomplishment

The team will have your artist ristband ready when you arrive at the venue.

Due to the fact that we are very close to the city center there is no hotel directly next to our venue, the „Ballhaus Freiburg“.

To get from the hotels to the „Ballhaus Freiburg“ you could:

  • walk 10-15 minutes
  • drive by car 5-8 minutes
  • take the tram 2-6 minutes as soon as your are in the tram which operates all 7-14 minutes (If you want to take the tram, please let us know so that we can purchase a ticket for you!)

Our partner hotel will be:

If you want to bring someone with you to look after your children while you teach, that has to be told to the organizer (Julia) while negotiating the conditions of your assignment.

Coffee and soft drinks as well as fruit and snacks will be served in the common room.

Our „real“ meals will be served in the „Gasthaus Schützen“ which is located 5-10 minutes from the venue. Your food will be ready when we get there because it is pre-ordered.

If you prefer to eat or drink something else, please mind that we will not cover those costs.

Our participants do have the chance to send us feedback about our event during and after the event. If you wish to get the feedback we receive about your classes, your DJing and/or your show, please let the organzier (Julia) know.

Please mind that we will need some time (usually 2-3 months) for reading and sorting the feedbacks since it is not our first priority after the event.

The fotos and videos of the event will be provided on this info page and in high quality as soon as our photo- and videographers edited them after the event (usually takes 2-4 weeks after the event).

Over the last few years many artists got pets, espacially dogs, which they want to bring to the event. Please mind that this will not be possible for the „Line Dance Festival – Freiburg Edition“!

Many participants who have animal hair allergies do not want to be in the same room with pets AND some of our partner hotels do not allow pets.

There are no rooms available to give private classes during workshop times.

If you want to give a private class before the workshops or during lunch time, please contact the organizer (Julia) to book an available room!

Is is not allowed to put flyers and brochures, roll-ups or posters anywhere, unless is has been specifically allowed by the festival-direction. You can spread flyers or brochures during your workshops/lectures but please don’t leave them after your workshops.

  • Please bring your music as mp3-files only (quality 192kbit or higher) on a USB stick AND send us an e-mail with the music-file adapted before the festival starts. Please do not use any other format than mp3, no CDs, notebooks MP3 players, iPods etc.!
  • Please provide some information about yourself, your dancing and so on, which can be used by our show hosts for the presentation and announcement of you and your show. (E.g.: how long have you been performing? Are there interesting / funny / unusual details?)
  • The day of your show we will get in touch with you in order to arrange all details (music, light, backstage, timetable etc.)
  • You will be given rehearsal time by our stage director crew. If you do not need to rehearse, please tell us asap, so we can use the remaining time slots more efficiently.

(Please be not confused. The parking area is directly behind the Ballhaus despite the very different address.)

If you have more than one big suitcase, please let Julia know!

 

Level 1: Absolute Beginner
You have never danced Line Dance before (or only secretely in your living room). Welcome to our world!

Level 2: Beginner
You are doing fine with your first few dances but it’s not flawless yet? This is your level.

Level 3: Improver
You already did many Line Dance classes and are not able to stop anymore?!

Level 4: Intermediate
If we handed you a step sheet, you would know what to dance.

Level 5: Advanced
You attend festivals and competitions regularly. This level is for you pros!

If any friends/students/family members of you want to join the festival, you will be able to receive early-bird-tickets for them until the 31st of July, IF you send an e-mail to Julia containing:

  • full name of the participant
  • postal address of the paricipant
  • e-mail-address of the participant
  • ticket wish of the participant
